Dear SWAP Members and Guests,
Geoff Kirkwood was brilliant last week, and a man who has walked the talk. Someone who set up the BNI Network and sold it for a solid profit is well worth listening to.
We got some really excellent examples from Geoff of what it means to keep in contact. If 80% of sales don’t happen until the 5th or more contact, what are you doing about it?
We all have a responsibility to establish the best possible environment for that sale to happen, and that means being known, trusted and liked. This does not happen on the first meeting.
From my experience, as I am involed in complex sales processes, this rings true - we all have to maintain that effort.
Something different this morning was the Master of Ceremony - our own Dot Dewar. I had a chance to sit back, and it was an excellent effort by Dot, well done.
We also had presentations of Membership Certificates and our new name badges, and each member gave us a unique insight as to what was that exceptional result or breakthrough that Brisbane Business SWAP had given them, very inspiring.
The Thought of the Day was “In order to get others to our way of thinking, we first have to go to theirs. To lead, you have to follow.”
Brad Tonini is going to be worth listening to this week, on "You can always Sell More". Come and join us and be part of the action.
Cheers Mark Combe President
